The management of forest resources is essential for communities in the South to ensure sustainability and preserve biodiversity. SOCODEVI advocates the creation of cooperative or associative enterprises to mobilize populations and develop profitable and sustainable forestry activities.
Our approach encourages active participation by the community in the sustainable development of their forests and acquisition of a mindset for agroforestry. In this way communities living in proximity to forests can diversify their economic activities and create new sources of employment.
