Colombia’s cocoa power!

In September, our Colombia team pulled off quite the feat, organizing the Festival del Cacao with the help of one of its financial partners! The Festival del Cacao brought together cocoa producers that SOCODEVI supports in the Putumayo region, one of four regions where the AGROEMPRENDE CACAO project operates in Colombia.
Continuing to support rural Bolivian families
Set course for Bolivia, where SOCODEVI officially launched a tara development project in September called SAYARYI. Suzanne Mailhot, SOCODEVI’s chair and Promutuel Insurance representative, and Louis Marcotte, Ambassador of Canada to Bolivia and Peru, attended the project launch in person.
New initiative on Guatemala’s Lake Atitlan

SOCODEVI officially launched PRODISOL, its new project in Guatemala. This initiative will focus on improving the living conditions of women and young people working in the tourism sector.
Together for the women of Ghana!
The TohetHER project in Ghana is off and running! The launch event took place on March 29, in the presence of representatives of Global Affairs Canada and several players in the cocoa industry.
