As an international organization, we are announcing the deployment of exceptional measures to protect the health of our employees, our partners, our project participants and the community. A contingency plan has been put in place and specific measures are being implemented in the different countries where we work.
Due to the risks associated with international travel, travels abroad are suspended for an indefinite period. Business trips within Canada are also limited until further notice. In addition, the employees of the head office and of our member institutions in the field are called upon to return to Canada as soon as possible.
Back in Quebec, head office staff must place itself in solitary confinement for 14 days, from where they are invited to telecommute when possible.
Over the next few weeks, headquarters staff will do everything in their power to support field staff and ensure the activities of the various projects via telecommunications.
We continue to closely monitor the progress of the pandemic in order to make every effort to limit the spread of the coronavirus and take care of our staff.
