With this program we worked to increase farmer incomes through the establishment of an agricultural intensification and diversification process. Three sectors were targeted: rice production, rice seeds and vegetable production.

Our planned approach was to provide technical and organizational assistance to small agricultural producers to increase their yields and improve the marketing of products. In addition, we contributed in a tangible way to improving irrigation water usage by supporting the water users’ organization in the region. Farmers participated in the decision-making process for investments in agricultural intensification and in the maintenance and management of their own irrigation and drainage infrastructure. Our planned approach was to provide technical and organizational assistance to small agricultural producers to increase their yields and improve their product commercialization.
