Multisectoral Programme to Improve Livelihoods in Rural Areas of Bolivia (PROMAVI)
PROMAVI’s main goal is to contribute to improving the livelihoods of families in Bolivia, especially for women in 14 municipalities in the Department of Chuquisaca. This multi-sector initiative undertaken jointly by SOCODEVI and CCISD (Centre for International Cooperation in Health and Development) aims at inclusive economic development, and at improvements to municipal services to offer better health for women, youth and children.
All in all, PROMAVI will directly affect more than 10,000 women, men and children, mainly from the most disadvantaged indigenous communities located in the 14 participating rural municipalities. This five-year programme is financed by the Government of Canada.
