Socodevi contributes to improving the living conditions of communities by supporting the creation and strengthening of sustainable and inclusive co-operative or mutual enterprises. Through its PerformCoop Approach and its PerformCoop change management tool, as well as its team and network of expert consultants, Socodevi supports collective enterprises in becoming sustainable, profitable, inclusive, and autonomous.

What better way to strengthen co-operatives and mutuals than through the power of synergy? The Socodevi network includes major companies and institutions within Quebec’s co-operative and mutual movement, including Agropur, Sollio Groupe Coopératif , Beneva (SSQ – La Capitale), Promutuel Assurance , as well as federations of co-operatives in areas such as food, forestry and housing.

The members of the Socodevi network represent a large pool of co-operative, unique and united expertise, firmly committed to its international cooperation actions; a network bringing together more than 45,000 employees and 3.5 million members or insured persons in Canada.

The sixth co-operative principle, inter-cooperation, is the one that unites Socodevi’s network of members with the members of the co-operatives and mutuals it supports internationally. Since 1985, and every year since, this network has contributed to Socodevi’s projects. In total, more than 500 projects worldwide have benefited from the support of this network, and more than 1,000 partner organizations have received assistance.
