SOCODEVI, in collaboration with the Rwanda Institute of Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship and Microfinance (RICEM), is pleased to organize, on July 18, 2023 in Kigali, a side event to the major Women Deliver conference presenting the cooperative movement as an autonomous, sustainable and transformative model for women’s rights and poverty reduction.
Title : Cooperatives for women
Date : July 18, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Place : Ubumwe Grande Hotel in Kigali, room Kivu – 2
With this public side event, SOCODEVI would like to invite you to a discussion on the cooperative movement’s learnings, best practices and opportunities for reflection, and thus catalyze collective solutions to advance gender equality.
The aim of the event is to show that by grouping together in successful cooperatives that support women’s economic empowerment and representation, both within the cooperative and in their cultural, political, social and economic environment, women members and their cooperatives are empowered to increase their capacity to influence social transformation for a fairer world.
