When rural women become the architects of their own success

Since April 2021, the Dou Touloma project has been working to strengthen the socio-economic empowerment and well-being of women farmers in five regions of Mali. Through training, tools, and tangible opportunities, the project is helping women build confidence, gain economic independence, and make a lasting impact in their communities.
Community mobilization committees: A powerful tool for change in cocoa-growing communities

As part of the Women and Cocoa Communities Initiative (IFCC) in Côte d’Ivoire, SOCODEVI and the Fondation Paul Gérin-Lajoie are implementing an innovative strategy to improve living conditions in rural areas. The crux of this strategy is the community mobilization committee, a powerful tool for identifying local issues and establishing concrete solutions together, tailored to each community’s needs.
Women’s cooperatives in Morocco: an inspiring exchange!

On August 26–28, 2024, the Resilient Women in the Middle Atlas (FERMA) project organized a series of highly rewarding exchanges among several women’s cooperatives in the Middle Atlas region. This event, led by SOCODEVI in partnership with Morocco’s national water and forestry agency (ANEF) and with financial backing from the Government of Canada, is one of our many efforts to empower women financially and help them sustainably manage natural resources.
